MEC Lehari urges motorists to also renew motor vehicle licences at the South African Post Office

The services of renewal of motor vehicle licences around the North West Province, has now increased to include the South African Post Offices (SAPO).

To make this possible, the department has since signed the service level agreement (SLA) with the South African Post Office. And as a result, to date there are 18 SAPO sites actively rendering the license disc renewal services across the province.

Presenting the department’s budget vote, MEC Lehari further announced that the department has started the renovation of Mogwase registering authority.

The completion of the renovations, thereof, will ensure optimum operation of the centre as well as enhance an efficient revenue collection for the department.

In Mogwase, the completion of the renovation will bring added value to target more motorists and match the increased demand, as there is an ever increasing vehicle population around the Moses Kotane Local Municipality.

The department deems licensing services as one of its important service it provisions to the citizens.

"Registering Authorities implements the mandate of vehicle license renewals, registration of new vehicles, de-registration of stolen and recovered vehicles or permanently unfit for use as well as notifications of vehicle changes in respect of vehicle particulars". pointed out MEC Lehari
